If you read my other blog post about the Korean Skin Care Routine, you probably know I am a skincare addict. I take skincare seriously because I’ve learned it the hard way. The health of my skin affects my mental and emotional well-being. I think a lot of you can relate to this, right?
When we feel good about our skin, we are a lot happier and feel like we can conquer anything! But when our skin is a drag, it messes with our psyche and dampens our mood. Not to mention, it is just wicked (can you tell I’m from New England?) depressing. For this reason, I really try to take care of my skin and I’m always on the lookout for healthy and effective skincare products.
Aside from the Korean Care Routine, I like to pamper myself with things like black sugar exfoliators, peel pads (that smells like wine), complexion correction pads, sheet masks, and face mists. Each has its own benefit and work to target issues like uneven skin tone, sun spots, large pores, blackheads, breakouts, wrinkles, and dehydrated skin. I found these products after doing a ton of research and reading all the reviews online. So, I’m super excited to talk about them!

BIO-PEEL GAUZE PEELING WINE PAD
So what is the benefit of exfoliating? Our skin renews itself every 28 days. During this process, there is a layer of dead skin cells that sit on our face until they’re sloughed away. If we don’t exfoliate, these skin cell debris can settle into our pores which can cause breakouts and blackhead.

By exfoliating properly once or twice a week we can get clearer and brighter skin. What I love about this exfoliator is that it comes with a cotton pad that smells like red wine and packs a punch when it comes to effectiveness. Red wine and lactic acid are key active ingredients to help get rid of dead skin cells and impurities. My skin always feels so amazing and squeezy clean after using this. A heads up, you might want a glass or two of wine as you’re beautifying yourself because this smells like heavenly!
BLACK SUGAR MASK
Black Sugar Mask by SkinFood is one of my favorites. I know, I say that a lot, but I really love them all. The sugar grains act as an exfoliator that dissolves as you massage them gently on your face. The brown sugar smells delicious and it is also very gentle and hydrating. It does an excellent job of removing dirt and cleaning out your pores. This scrub always leaves my face feeling silky smooth and soft.

MAX COMPLEXION CORRECTION PADS
Next on the lineup are these correction pads by Peter Thomas Roth, they are hands down my holy grail! This has helped me get rid of the stubborn milia on my face! These pads are no joke, they come packed with Glycolic Acid and Salicylic Acid to cleanse the skin, clear up active acne blemishes, minimize the appearance of pore size, and eliminate the formation of new blackheads and blemishes. It also helps regulate healthy cell turnover and delivers anti-aging benefits that help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. If I could give a product ten stars, this would be it!

HYDRO GEL SHEET MASKS
I will admit, I was a huge skeptic about sheet masks. I’ve heard all the raves about them and thought it was an over-hyped beauty trend, yup- I was a dummy. I have been missing out on these for so long! Sheet masks are the ultimate skincare indulgence that was invented by superhumans to bring luxurious skin back into our lives from all the evil pollutants…you get the drift!

I absolutely love Missha Super Aqua Hydro-Gel Mask. These sheet masks are thick gel-like texture. They instantly cool and soothe my stressed and tired skin upon contact. My face cannot get enough of these. It’s super refreshing and provides so much hydration! My skin just absolutely loves this. I use twice a week at night after applying toner.
FACE MISTS
The one beauty item that I always carry with me is a face mist, I have a few of these at home and two bottles sitting on my desk at work. Facial mists are wonderful for days when your skin feels dry and tight and need a little pick-me-up. Not only is it refreshing, it also gives your dehydrated skin an added moisture boost.
My two favorite face mists are Mario Badescu Facial Spray and Missha The First Essence Mist. Mario Badescu facial spray is formulated with aloe, herbs, and rosewater. I use this throughout the day and as a setting spray for my makeup. The rosewater is very light and smells lovely.

Missha The First Essence Mist is the spray form of Missha Time Revolution First Essence Treatment. It has all the same active ingredients such as fermented yeast extract that delivers vitamins and minerals to refresh and rejuvenate the outer layer of your skin. This spray always leaves my face feeling soft and smooth with that dewy glow!
