What comes to mind when you think of travel bags? For me, it needs to be two things, functional and stylish. I’m terribly picky when it comes to travel totes. I tend to stuff my bags to avoid checking in my luggage at the airport. I have this fear of losing my suitcase and too frugal to pay for the check-in fees! Therefore, I need my bag to have plenty of room for items like a laptop, a book, chargers, sweater/scarf, toiletries, makeup, snacks, etc.

I travel pretty often so I know what it’s like to travel with a crappy bag. After beating the heck out of my other travel bags, I found these gems and they are perfect and totally meet my requirements. They are super durable and stylish at the same time. I really love them to pieces and these babies have been with me on so many trips and are still holding up like champs!
LOUIS VUITTON NEVERFUL
First, the name is so fitting because I can put a truckload in there and still manage to find space for other things. Okay, that might be an exaggeration but it FITS a lot of stuff! The reason why I love this bag so much is that it is super sturdy, classic, roomy, and who doesn’t love a good LV travel bag?!
This bag has flown with me everywhere. I have beaten it up to death and it still holds up really well. It fits a laptop, power cords, a book, a light jacket/sweater, a pair of sandals, makeup, and toiletries. If I have to choose only one bag to travel with, this takes the cake. The price has gone up a little bit since I purchased it 4 years ago, but I would still purchase it today because not only is it pretty, it is also super functional and elevates your travel style.

Size MM (Medium) 12.6 x 11.4″ x 6.7 inches – $1,260
Size PM (Large)11.4 x 8.7 x 5.1 inches – $1,180
LONGCHAMP LARGE LE PLIAGE
Ok, so I’m just going to put it out there, I LOVE THESE and the colors they come in! This bag is super-duper lightweight. It’s not as roomy as the Neverfull but it’s still large enough to fit a laptop, sweater/scarf, toiletries, and a smaller purse. It has a zipper top which is nice when you want to zip things up and throw it under the seat, or in the overhead compartment.
I didn’t realize how popular this bag was until I traveled to Paris and noticed that almost every Parisian gal had one and they looked so effortlessly chic. So, of course, I had to snatch a few for myself! Le Pliage is more affordable compared to the Neverfull, which means you could get a few in different colors! And when I am using the LV Neverfull, I still stuff the Le Pliage in my suitcase so I could use it as a daily tote.

LONGCHAMP LARGE LE PLIAGE NEO
This is very similar to the Le Pliage. Longchamp reinvented the original classic bag and the new Le Pliage Neo comes with a handy shoulder strap, the strap is thicker and padded. If you tend to overstuff your bags, the shoulder strap is a lifesaver as it won’t dig into your shoulders. Both styles are very functional so you cannot go wrong with either, it’s just a matter of preference.
